Course Aims

To train operators in the safe operation of Hand Held Disc Cutter including:

  • health and safety regulations
  • pre-start inspections 
  • procedure for dealing with defective equipment
  • refuelling and recharging
  • operating machines
  • post-operational checks

Who Is The Course Suitable For?

This course is for any person who is required to use a hand held disc cutter in the course of undertaking work tasks.

This course covers the operation of the Hand Held Disc Cutter. Candidates would require to already have in place an Abrasive Wheels competence prior to undertaking this course.

If an Abrasive Wheels and Hand Held Disc Cutter course is required please enquire and this can be provided.

Course Objectives

The objective of this course is to ensure that operatives are able to safely operate a hand-held disc cutter in accordance with HSE requirements and guidelines.
